Strain Lineage: Kush dominate Afghan > Haze (This is a hard one to identify because its family is dominated with many cultivars that are in each category of ancestry.)
Pigment: The flower is a solid mix of greens from light to dark hues. There are some petals that are purple in colour which is a sign of the Kush ancestry genetics. Because Kush genetics are predominately found in higher elevations within the mountains the production of chlorophyll is inhibited, and the anthocyanins are presented to the naked eye (i.e purple pigmentation.)
Ash Color: almost pure white ash.
Aroma: At 4.26%, the terpene density is strong. The aroma consists of fresh citrus oranges and sour mangos mixed with spicy cinnamon, herbs, and fresh pine. The dominate terpenes that are presented to my nose is myrcene, caryophyllene, linalool, Limonene, and alpha-pinene.
Trichomes: My god, if you ever saw this beauty under the microscope, my goodness what it would do to you. It was love at first sight. With the naked eye you can see the contrast of the sugary white trichomes on the dark purple and green sugar leaves/pedals. But one under the microscope once again you are met with the dominance of the Kush genetic in this cultivar. Kush usually have higher trichome expressions. There were many capitate-stalked, sessile-stalked, non-glandular trichomes and I believe I may have seen some singular bulbous trichomes as well. some trichomes were creamy and very few in comparison to the clear-headed trichomes were amber in colour.
Trim: The trim is pretty tight. I saw a few sugar leaves but nothing too alarming.
Duration: 3.5 hours
Climax: 25 minutes – 1.5 hours
Initial: The initial pull of this cultivar solidifies the beauty of this cultivar. The flavours were so well blended that my mouth started to salivate and almost drool on myself. It was so delicious I consciously told myself to slow down and enjoy this moment because not everyday am I gifted with such a beautiful experience. This cultivar on sight took my breath away. My nose was gifted with the aromas bursting from the terpene dominate trichomes. There is 4.26% of terpenes present within this herb and it spoke to me during the high. I felt immediate gratification, bliss, simply wokeness that made me nothing but happy and energetic. Accompanied by this blissfulness I felt smooth, slick and quick witted.
Mid: It was in the middle of the high that I felt the need to publicly marry marijuana. I would do it with no shame because someone “needs to make an honest woman of her.” I was devastatingly overrun by love and affection for this herb. I was super reactive and started to work on my projects without feeling too overwhelmed. When my friends called, I was laughing and giggling like a fool. I was having so much in those moments.
End: Near the end of the high I found my mouth start to dry up and my breath started to kick back a little but, I just ate some strong odored food, so I wasn’t surprised. Nevertheless, I wanted to draw myself a bath. I finished cleaning my entire house without even thinking about it and I worked up a sweat. In some instances, I was wondering if I was even breathing because I was moving so fast. I did get a slight headache and my bones felt like they were aching more than usual. I believe It was the right decision to take it a bit slower with this cultivar.
Flavor: The smoke flavour is fresh and quite pleasant for the first few pulls but after that third pull the sour and spice came to life. The blend of so many terpenes which equated to 4.26% of terpene content was so the most delicious aspect of the flavour. It wasn’t too spicy, it wasn’t too sweet of floral. The flavours were both cool and hot, moist and dry, a true hybrid of Kush dominate x Afghan x haze genetics.
Packaging: The package is an oversized pocket like plastic pouch. It is bright a pumpkin orange colour. The lining is a silver barrier material. The opening mechanism requires nails to peel open the thin plastic zip. The quality of the bag is not bad. Considering the size of the M.A.C1 bud I cannot complain too much.
Activity Pairing: I would pear this with doing something as simple as reading, to exercising, to writing a novel (as you can see). I would pair this with having fun with or without people.
Who We’d Suggest For: I would recommend this to a seasoned veteran. I would be concerned about recommending this to someone who has yet to understand their limits. I truly believe the intensity of this high should be reserved for people who know how to use and respect the herb.
This cultivar will be beloved by a broad range of cannabis users because of the genetics. It has some pretty dominate cultivars in the M.A.C1 lineage. I preformed a squeeze test and nearly broke my fingers. This was a dense, elongated, dark beautiful bud. I am not a big haze fan because I am predominately energetic, so I like the grace that Afghans and Kush’s grants me. With that being said, I love the flavours and aromas some haze produce. The performance of this cultivar from the terpene/trichome density, moisture content, flavour profile, and ash colour means that this is a must-try!
