The Flower

Strain Lineage: Afghan > Kush

Pigment: Light – Medium Green with bright orange pistils.

Ash Color: Dark brown plant matter. Dark grey ash

Aroma: I had to sniff the bag a couple times to make out what the aroma was. Off the top my nose picked up something sweet and creamy like caramel milk chocolate. I picked up the scent of blueberries, and subtle spice.

Trichomes: Under the microscope on the exterior of the bud we see a lot of the trichomes are missing their bulbous tops, and more than some are creamy, and amber in color. In the interior of the bud, we see a lot of the heads are also amber. The population could’ve been better.

Trim: very well, tight to the bud.

The Experience (Spliff)

Duration: 2 – 2.5 hours

Climax Duration: 20 mins – 1 hour

Initial: When I lit the spliff I recognized how the delicious spicy and sweet flavors reminded me of a gentle and delightful melody. In my opinion the combination of flavors reminded me of my favorite Tim Hortons coffee – a white-hot chocolate with a chai tea bag and a shot of caramel. The spice from the beta-caryophyllene was subtle, and it was accompanied by linalool, and myrcene which brought a sense of relaxation. The alpha-pinene, myrcene, and linalool brought out the sweetness of the herb.

Mid: I suddenly had the urge to do research. I was more focused on researching than enjoying the rest of the spliff. I wasn’t very social or intrigued by my surroundings. I was heavily tuned into finding out answers to multiple different types of questions like: ‘what are the terpenes found in grabba’, ‘how does the brain look when you’re smoking’, etc… I found myself to be hyper curious and asking a lot of questions.

End: The end of my high I felt a faint goodbye. The high itself didn’t last very long but perhaps that’s because I didn’t smoke the entire spliff. Once I noticed how the flower was burning, I wasn’t very intrigued to continue the rest. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the moment of complete engagement with my research I just wish it would’ve lasted longer.

Flavor: The flavors was a nice blend of sweet and spicy flavors which resembled a chai tea bag in a white-hot chocolate with a caramel shot. the flavors weren’t overly exciting which was indicative of the Afghan dominant lineage.

Packaging: It is a small pocket-sized green package with a trick seal lock. I think it does a decent job of maintaining the buds integrity

Activity Pairing: One-on-one time, doing homework or meditating

Who We’d Suggest For: an introverted person, someone who is creative and looking to engage with their craft. I would also suggest this to people who want something like a shot, high which isn’t long lasting.

The Verdict

Yes and no. I think the overall effect was dope regarding being focused and curious. The flavors and aroma were delicious as well, and so was the trim. Nevertheless, the duration and integrity of the trichome population could’ve been better. This is not the best of the best.
